I came across a book called 100 Ways For A Cat To Train A Human and the title made me smile because I don’t think their is a cat owner how hasn’t actually be trained by their cat. My cat trains me to get up off the sofa every time she meows at the door, the other trains me to push my laptop further away from me so she can join it on my lap. They make me do things all the time and take great pleasure in making me stop doing what I need to be doing to do the thing they want me to do like stroke them, tickle their belly and lift up the blanket so they can get under. So I can definitely say all three of my cats have me trained and have me trained well!
I’ve bought this book a gift for my mum but couldn’t help having a quick look through, I don’t think you really realise how much your cat trains you until you read it. This is part of the product description on Amazon and I have to admit this is what convienced me to buy it.
“Though humans cannot speak cat, they vocalise repeatedly. Most of their vocalisations are meaningless and can be completely ignored.”
That explain the look I get from Poppy when I ask her to attacking the Christmas tree or terrorising the other cats. Maybe I should buy myself a copy?
If you’re running out of ideas for Christmas gifts for cat owners, this one will definitely be appreciated. Grab a copy here.
