Why do we like wicker cat beds?
I love wicker, it’s a natural material that fits well with any décor, I love the fact it’s natural, ecological, biodegradable and renewable. I already own a number of wicker products, they’re built to last and they can also take a bit of a beating from the cats too. Wicker cat beds are functional as well as stylish and it’s only wicker cat beds that seem to be multiple tiers which is perfect if you’re a multi cat household.
Favourite Wicker Cat Beds
Below are my favourite wicker cat beds, clicking on the image will take you to a page with further information.
Rustic Wicker Cat Bed
I love this cat bed because of the luxurious cushions, you can imagine how soft it would be against your skin so their no doubt that your cat is likely to love snuggling up in it too. Plus the deep pile cushions will hide the cat hairs well. Like I’ve previously mentioned, many wicker cat beds are 2 tier like this one. The colour of the wicker on this bed reminds me of tree bark so makes an interesting change from the honey coloured wicker which is widely available.
Honey Coloured Wicker Cat Bed
This cat bed has a brighter feel to it. It’s a honey coloured wicker with a slicker design, it’s white cushions give it a fresh feel. It’s more suited to a bright modern room. This cushions will need cleaning regularly though because they’re white or you could do what I have a tendency to do is cover them with an old tea towel to help preserve them.
Because this is a light coloured wicker bed dirt will show up quicker than on the rustic type so it may need cleaning a bit more often. It’s easy to do, just take off the cushions and take it outside and aim your hose at it. Make sure it dries without being reshaped though otherwise it will dry into the shape you molded it into.
Large Wicker Cat Bed
This is another great wicker bed, perfect for larger cats such as the Maine Coon and Ragdoll breeds. Also great if you have 2 or 3 cats that like to snuggle up together. This cat bed is large enough that your cats won’t be fighting about who gets to sleep in it, there’s room enough them both.
I’ll be adding more wicker beds to this page in the future, so if you’re considering buying one, bookmark this page and come back soon
